.NAME Domain Name Registrations

Introduced in 2001, the Dot NAME top-level domain extension is the sole TLD intended for personal sites only. These domains can include personal or fictitious names, nicknames and/or other labels people are known by. At the beginning, only third-level registrations were possible, so if you planned to obtain john.doe.name, you would have to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration process was loosened and second-level registrations were also permitted. Already bought 3rd-level names remained functional.

Through our company, you can reserve your .NAME domain for a period between one and ten years. You will have the chance to switch the WHOIS info, to park your domain, to modify Custom DNS records, etc. You can also transfer an active domain to our firm if you receive its EPP transfer code from the present domain provider and we will renew it after the transfer has been finalized. There are no special terms on who can reserve a .NAME domain name, but in order to preserve the concept behind its creation alive, the Registry organization may verify who the owner is and if there is no connection between the owner and the actual domain, the registration may be challenged.
