If you wish to transfer a domain from one registrar company to another, you’ll need a unique transfer authorization code, which may be referred to by many names – an EPP authorization code, an AuthInfo code, a domain name password, etc. All these names designate one and the same thing – a code that the domain name registrant gets from the present registrar and provides to the new one at the time of the order. Without a genuine code, a transfer procedure cannot be started and this is one of the safety mechanisms against unsanctioned transfer attempts used with all generic and with most country-specific extensions. For better security, the code comprises of digits and/or special characters and is case-sensitive, so in case you’d like to transfer one of your domain names, you have to supply the new registrar company with the right code.

EPP Transfer Protection in Shared Web Hosting

In case you’ve got a shared web hosting, you have registered a domain with us and you want to transfer it, you can get its EPP authentication code with less than a couple of clicks. When you sign in to your Hepsia Control Panel and visit the Registered Domains section, you’ll see all the domain names that you’ve registered with us listed alphabetically. To the right of each domain, you will notice a small EPP icon for all generic and country-code domain name extensions that require an EPP code in order to be transferred between companies. Clicking the icon will send the EPP code to the domain registrant’s email immediately. In the same section you can also find and eventually edit the email, if the one there is no longer valid.

EPP Transfer Protection in Semi-dedicated Servers

If you have a semi-dedicated server account with our company and you’ve registered a domain that you’d like to transfer, you can get the EPP transfer authentication code really easy through the Hepsia Control Panel, via which you will manage both your account and your domains. If you visit the Registered Domains section, you’ll see an EPP icon on the right side of your domains, on the condition that their extensions support transfers between registrar companies with such a code. All codes are emailed automatically by our system to the registrant’s email to make sure that only the owner of the domain can obtain this information. In case the currently listed email is not valid any longer, you can update it with several clicks of the mouse without needing to leave this Control Panel section. The change is instantaneous, so you will be able to request the EPP transfer code for the specific domain right away.
